A Gaming company is looking to hire a Risk Analyst who will perform evaluations and work towards mitigating potential risk for the company.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across various operational areas.

Utilise statistical models and data analysis techniques to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.

Monitor and analyze key risk indicators to ensure timely detection of emerging threats.

Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.

Provide recommendations for risk reduction and operational improvement based on thorough analysis.

Employ advanced statistical techniques to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful insights.

Develop and refine risk models to enhance accuracy in predicting potential risks.

Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure compliance with applicable laws relatable to the betting industry in Nigeria.

Assist in the development and maintenance of compliance procedures and policies.

Develop and implement incident response plans to address and mitigate emerging risks promptly.

Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure swift and effective response to incidents.

Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on key risk indicators, providing insights and actionable recommendations.

Present findings to management and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including trading, finance, and technology, to integrate risk management strategies seamlessly into operational processes.

Foster a culture of risk awareness and proactive risk management across the organisation.

Identify opportunities for process improvement within the risk management function.

Actively contribute to the ongoing enhancement of overall risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements & Competencies

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

2+ years proven experience in risk analysis, preferably within the Banking and Finance industry

Demonstrate ability to develop and implement risk management strategies.

Proficient in statistical modelling, data analysis, and risk assessment. Ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.

In-depth understanding of sports betting operations, market dynamics, and relevant regulations. Familiarity with odds compilation and trading practices.

Experience with risk management software, data visualisation tools, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of programming languages (Python, R) is a plus.

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to convey complex risk concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving industry. Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and implement timely risk management strategies.
