Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Account Officer to join our team at TollyClassic Delivery, a leading warehouse and logistics company. The Account Officer will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Prepare and manage ledgers, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
- Ensure all financial records are compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process and monitor accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Verify and reconcile invoices and payments.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure timely collection of payments from clients.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor and report on budget variances and suggest corrective actions as needed.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
Bank Reconciliation:
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial records.
- Resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Payroll Management:
- Process payroll for company employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payroll laws.
- Maintain payroll records and handle payroll-related queries.
Financial Reporting:
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
Internal Controls:
- Implement and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
- Conduct periodic audits and reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CPA) is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the logistics or warehouse industry.
- Proven experience with accounting software and financial management systems.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:
- This is a full-time position based at our Abuja warehouse.
- The role be at the office Mondays - Saturdays.
