Job Title: Hotel Human Resources Manager
Job Summary:
The Hotel Human Resources (HR) Manager is responsible for overseeing all HR functions in a hotel setting. This includes recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compliance with labor laws, and fostering a positive work environment. The HR Manager works closely with hotel management to align HR strategies with business objectives and to ensure the delivery of exceptional guest service through a motivated and well-supported team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Staffing:
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
- Manage the full recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and hiring.
- Conduct orientation sessions and onboarding programs for new employees.
2. Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through employee engagement initiatives.
- Facilitate communication between management and employees.
3. Performance Management:
- Develop and manage performance appraisal systems.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on performance issues and improvement plans.
- Identify and address performance gaps through training and development.
4. Training and Development:
- Assess training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Coordinate and deliver training sessions on various topics, including customer service, compliance, and leadership development.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
5. Compliance and Policies:
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and hotel policies.
- Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain employee records and manage HR documentation.
6. Compensation and Benefits:
- Oversee the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs.
- Conduct salary surveys and analysis to ensure competitive compensation structures.
- Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries.
7. Health and Safety:
- Promote workplace safety and wellness initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage workers' compensation and return-to-work programs.
8.Strategic HR Planning:
- Collaborate with hotel management to align HR strategies with business goals.
- Analyze HR metrics and provide insights for decision-making.
- Lead HR projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an HR role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Certification in HR (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
