Field Collection Officer

Job Title: Field Collection Officer
Location: Yaba, Lagos State, Nigeria
Job Type: Full Time

Duties:
- Conduct field visits to clients to collect outstanding debts and payments.
- Verify client information and ensure accurate records of interactions and collections.
- Communicate with clients to negotiate repayment plans and resolve payment issues.
- Monitor and analyze outstanding accounts to identify and address delinquent accounts.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve debt recovery rates.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on collection activities and progress.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of collections and client interactions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the finance and customer service teams to address and resolve payment disputes.
- Provide feedback to management on potential risks and issues related to debt collection.
- Stay informed about changes in debt collection laws and best practices.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by senior management.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 Years Previous experience in debt collection, customer service, or a related role is preferred.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to handle difficult conversations and resolve conflicts effectively.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with debt collection software and tools is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel for field visits as required.
