Job Description

We are looking for an experienced senior front-end developer who is proficient with JavaScript and React.js to work on our products. Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known React.js workflows. You will collaborate with front-end, QA, and DevOps engineers, and you will report directly to the Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

BSC degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related subject
5+ years as a front-end developer and 3+ years in front-end engineering with React js.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
High proficiency in JavaScript including DOM manipulation and JavaScript object model
Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and offline storage
Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical requirements
Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git
Clear and accurate written and verbal communication. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Good time-management skills
Familiarity with Jira
Experience building HR, payments, and benefits solutions for businesses in Africa
