Job Title: HR Manager

Job Summary
The HR Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of the human resources function within our poultry processing plant. This role is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and programs that align with the company’s business objectives, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management within the poultry or manufacturing industries.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent for various roles within the poultry processing plant.
• Manage the full recruitment cycle including job postings, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
• Work closely with department heads to understand staffing needs and develop workforce plans.
• Act as the point of contact for employees regarding HR-related issues, including conflict resolution, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
• Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and promoting open communication.
• Implement and monitor employee satisfaction surveys and recommend initiatives to improve workplace morale.
• Oversee performance management processes including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
• Provide guidance and support to managers on performance improvement and employee development.
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including attendance, leave, and compensation data.
• Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies as needed.
• Administer employee compensation programs including salary administration, bonuses, and benefits.
• Manage the benefits enrollment process, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
• Conduct market research to ensure compensation packages remain competitive.
• Promote and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular safety audits and implement measures to address potential hazards.
• Coordinate with safety officers to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Develop and update HR policies and procedures to reflect changes in laws and best practices.
• Communicate HR policies and procedures to employees and ensure adherence.
• Review and refine HR processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of HR management experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within the poultry or manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
• Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems.
• High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
