#### Job Summary:
The AC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing necessary repairs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install new air conditioning systems and equipment following manufacturers’ specifications and company standards.
- Measure and lay out the installation site accurately.
- Test installed systems to ensure they are working properly and meet regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on AC units and systems.
- Inspect, clean, and replace filters, motors, and ductwork.
- Ensure systems are running efficiently and effectively.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults for AC systems.
- Repair and replace defective components, such as compressors, thermostats, and fan motors.
- Test systems post-repair to ensure proper operation.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Educate clients on system use, maintenance, and energy-saving practices.
- Document and report work performed and parts used to management and clients.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Comply with relevant local and national codes and regulations.
- Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and new technology
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational training or certification in HVAC or AC technology.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in AC installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
- Certification from a recognized HVAC or AC training program.
- EPA certification for handling refrigerants is preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and controls.
- Understanding of energy-efficient practices and regulations.
- Familiarity with digital control systems and smart technologies.

Working Conditions:
- Work may involve exposure to extreme temperatures, high places, and hazardous conditions.
- May require overtime, weekend, and holiday work depending on client needs and emergencies.
- Travel to various job sites is often required.
