Technician 2 - Electrical

Job Summary:
As a technician 2 - Electrical, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment related to power generators ranging from 13KVA to 1,200 KVA. You will work closely with a team of engineers and technicians to ensure that all electrical components function correctly and meet safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Install and configure electrical systems and components for power generators. Ensure proper wiring and connections according to technical diagrams and blueprints. Establish control panels and electrical circuits. Perform maintenance and repairs.

Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and generators.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in generators and related equipment.
Repair or replace faulty electrical components, wiring, and circuits.
Testing and Inspection:

Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to ensure they are operating efficiently.
Use testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to test electrical systems and ensure proper functionality.
Verify the performance of generators and electrical systems against technical specifications.
Compliance and Safety:

Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while working with electrical systems.
Ensure that all electrical work complies with industry standards and local electrical codes.
Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed records of all electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs.
Prepare reports on the status of electrical systems and any issues encountered.
Communicate effectively with the engineering team and management regarding electrical system performance and any necessary upgrades.
Qualifications:
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical diploma or certification in electrical technology or a related field.
Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as an electrical technician, preferably in a generator company or a similar industry.
Experience with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in power generators.
Skills and Competencies:

Strong understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
Proficient in using electrical testing equipment.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and documentation skills.
