Job Description
Job Summary:
The Assistant Team Leader will support the Team Leader in managing day-to-day operations and ensuring the effective and efficient functioning of the team. This role involves coordinating team activities, monitoring performance, and providing guidance to team members. The Assistant Team Leader will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of work quality and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Coordination:
Assist the Team Leader in planning and organizing team activities.
Ensure tasks are allocated appropriately and deadlines are met.
Monitor team performance and productivity.
Supervision and Support:
Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve individual and team goals.
Address any issues or conflicts within the team and escalate to the Team Leader if necessary.
Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and updates.
Quality Control:
Maintain high standards of work quality and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Review and approve work completed by team members.
Implement corrective actions when necessary to improve performance.
Reporting:
Assist in preparing reports on team performance, project status, and other relevant metrics.
Provide regular updates to the Team Leader and management.
Training and Development:
Identify training needs within the team and coordinate appropriate training programs.
Support the onboarding process for new team members.
Customer Service:
Ensure the team delivers excellent customer service and addresses client inquiries and concerns promptly.
Foster a customer-centric culture within the team.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
Participate in and support company initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and quality.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software applications.
Knowledge of power generation products and industry experience is a plus.
