Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Head of Business Development/Product Owner. This individual is responsible for driving business growth, identifying new market opportunities, and managing product development. This role involves strategic planning, building key relationships, overseeing the engineering and business development team, and acting as the product owner to ensure products meet market demands and business goals.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement business growth strategies.
Identify and pursue new market opportunities and partnerships.
Define and communicate the product vision and strategy in alignment with business goals.
Create and manage the product roadmap.
Oversee the product development lifecycle from concept to launch.
Conduct user acceptance testing and ensure product quality and performance.
Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog.
Work using given budgets.
Conduct market analysis to understand competitive landscape and customer needs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients.
Negotiate and close business deals that promote sustained revenue.
Lead and mentor the business development team to ensure the product goes to market.
Set performance targets and ensure team alignment with company goals.
Monitor and evaluate the team’s performance, providing feedback and training as necessary.
Develop and manage the sales pipeline.
Meet or exceed revenue targets.
Prepare and deliver proposals and presentations to potential clients.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
Promote the company’s products and services to enhance brand awareness.
Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure product meets market needs.
Act as the primary point of contact between the business development team and the product development team.
Continuously gather feedback from customers, sales, and support teams to improve the product.
Requirements and skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
Proven experience in business development, sales, and product management in the tech industry. At least 3-4 years.
Exposure to programming languages. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product management tools.
Sound understanding of coding and development processes.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
