Job Description
Credit Risk Analyst with a minimum of 4 years experience working in Banking or Finance & Investment company. The ideal candidate should be well vast in risk management, risk appraisal, business impact analysis, investment, large credit financing, partnership structuring.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit.
• Review and interpret financial information, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assess creditworthiness of potential clients by conducting thorough credit investigations.
• Evaluate credit risk and prepare detailed reports with recommendations to management.
• Use credit scoring models to predict the likelihood of default.
• Monitor and analyze the credit risk of existing clients.
• Make credit decisions based on analysis and within the scope of authority.
• Present credit recommendations to senior management or credit committees for approval.
• Negotiate credit terms and conditions with clients, if necessary.
• Ensure compliance with the company's credit policies and procedures.
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting credit and lending.
• Recommend changes to credit policies and procedures to improve risk management.
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information and clarify any credit-related issues.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding credit decisions.
• Prepare comprehensive credit reports and documentation for each credit application.
• Maintain accurate records of all credit transactions and decisions.
• Generate regular reports on credit activities, risk exposure, and portfolio performance.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
• Percentage of approved credits that remain in good standing.
• Number of defaults or delinquencies within the credit portfolio.
• Turnaround time for credit evaluations and decisions.
• Accuracy of risk assessments and predictions.
• Adherence to credit policies and regulatory requirements.
• Completeness and accuracy of credit reports and documentation.
• Client feedback and satisfaction scores related to credit processes.
• Number of client complaints and resolution times.
• Overall performance and health of the credit portfolio.
• Growth in the credit portfolio with controlled risk levels.
