Head Teacher

A Private School in Ketu is in need of a qualified Head Teacher to manage the school affairs. Only candidates residing within Ketu or it's close environs should apply.

Duties:
- Creating an academic programme for pupils that meets required standards
- Devising and Implementing a growth plan for the school focused on multiplication and academic excellence.
- Interfacing with parents in a manner that builds trust and fosters a sense of belonging
- Maintaining discipline amongst school staff
- Heading the planning and hosting of School events.
- Using data to track overall school performance and produce reports that give insights to guide in decision making.
- Management of school finances
- Preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports as required and reporting to proprietors.
- Helping assess pupils’ needs and tracking their developmental progress.
- Selecting, training, supporting and assessing staff to maintain and achieve excellence
- Providing guidance to staff to help resolve issues with pupils and parents.
- Playing a supervisory and role to ensure all expected activities are carried out across all departments and in timely
manner.
- Working and Coordinating with external advisors and other entities that interface with the school
- Oversight functions relating to school.

Skills/Qualification:
- Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts, or Bachelor of Science
- NCE Qualification
- Candidate Must reside within Ketu or very close environs
- Experience working as a Teacher in a school
- Several years of experience as a Deputy Head or Senior Manager of a school
- Business management skills
- Transparency, flexibility and sense of duty
- Leadership skills and sense of responsibility
- Computer appreciation skills: Power point, Excel, Word
- The ability to teach and design courses
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- The ability to work well with others
- Excellent customer service skills
- The ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure
