Job Description (Summary)
The Growth Specialist will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding the client base in the African market by developing and implementing strategic sales plans. This role involves identifying target segments, building and maintaining key partnerships, collaborating cross-functionally, and ensuring sales objectives are met through efficient pipeline management, client retention, and upselling initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the HR tech industry and a proven track record in sales strategy, relationship management, and team leadership.
Strategic Sales & Forecast Planning:
Identify key target segments and industries for market penetration.
Develop and execute actionable plans to expand the client base in the African market.
Assess and document the effectiveness of sales strategies with weekly reports.
Create accurate sales forecasts based on market trends, historical data, and pipeline analysis for informed decision-making.
Relationship Building with Key Partners:
Identify and establish partnerships with key players in the HR industry, such as HR consultants, industry associations, and recruitment agencies.
Leverage these partnerships to extend the company’s reach and unlock new sales opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure cohesive sales and customer engagement strategies.
Regularly provide market feedback to inform product development and marketing efforts.
Deals Negotiation & Sales Conversion:
Lead negotiations and ensure a smooth transition of potential clients through the sales pipeline into paying customers.
Maintain a 100% efficiency rate in converting leads to sales.
Client Retention & Relationship Management:
Increase and sustain high client retention rates through excellent relationship management and customer satisfaction initiatives.
Address client concerns promptly to ensure long-term satisfaction and loyalty.
Sales Presentations & Demos:
Deliver compelling and persuasive sales presentations and product demonstrations tailored to the needs of potential clients.
Effectively communicate the value proposition of the company’s HR tech products.
Sales Operations Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, including pipelines, forecasts, and conversion rates.
Consistently utilize CRM tools and sales analytics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Team Performance Management:
Monitor and track team performance against revenue targets and other key metrics.
Provide quality leadership and team-building to drive performance excellence.
Ensure active engagement through regular sales calls, meetings, and presentations.
Sales Training & Coaching:
Support sales team members by sharing best practices and providing guidance on sales techniques.
Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills and performance of the sales team.
Post-Sales Support & Up-Selling:
Collaborate with the customer success team to ensure seamless onboarding and adoption of HR tech solutions.
Identify opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling additional products or services to drive revenue growth.
Required Qualifications & Experience
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
● 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or strategic partnerships, preferably in the HR tech industry.
● Proven track record in achieving sales targets and growing client relationships.
● Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and coaching sales teams.
● Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
● Proficient in using CRM tools and sales analytics platforms.
● Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
● Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.
