Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and baking of a wide variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and more. This role requires a passion for baking, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Baker with daily baking tasks, including measuring ingredients, mixing doughs, and preparing fillings.
Prepare and bake various baked goods such as bread, cakes, cookies, pastries, and specialty items according to recipes and standards.
Ensure that all baked goods are prepared with the highest quality and consistency.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and baking equipment.
Follow food safety and hygiene standards to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to the Head Baker.
Help with packaging and displaying baked goods for sale.
Participate in brainstorming and testing new recipes under the guidance of the Head Baker.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Provide excellent customer service when needed, including answering questions about baked goods and taking special orders.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a bakery or kitchen environment is required
Basic knowledge of baking techniques and food safety practices.
Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in product quality.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy bags of flour and other ingredients.
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work well in a team.
