Job brief.
Our client, a leading player in the Tourism sector, seeks a highly motivated and experienced Sales Travel Consultant to join our dynamic team. The primary responsibility of this role is to generate leads, nurture them through effective follow-ups, and convert these leads into sales. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sales, particularly within the travel industry, and will be driven to exceed revenue targets while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation:
o Proactively identify and generate new leads through various channels including, but not limited to, networking, referrals, online platforms, travel expos, and industry events.
o Ability to track and manage leads, ensuring a consistent and thorough approach to lead management.
o Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and implement strategies for attracting potential *customers.
2. Lead Nurturing and Follow-up:
oEngage with leads through personalized communication, understanding their travel needs and preferences.
o Conduct timely and strategic follow-ups via phone calls, emails, and meetings to convert leads into clients.
o Provide detailed travel advice and present customized travel solutions that meet the client's requirements.
3. Sales Conversion and Revenue Growth:
o Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets by closing deals with new and existing clients.
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
o Offer upsell and cross-sell opportunities to enhance the value of bookings and drive additional revenue.
o Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies to optimize sales outcomes.
o Take ownership of the sales process from lead generation to closing, ensuring a significant contribution to revenue growth.
4. Customer Relationship Management:
o Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering personalized, high-quality service.
o Resolve any client issues or concerns promptly to ensure a positive customer experience.
o Keep clients informed of new travel offers, promotions, and updates relevant to their interests.
5. Product Knowledge and Market Awareness:
o Stay up-to-date with the latest travel trends, destinations, and products.
o Attend training sessions, webinars, and industry events to continuously improve knowledge and skills.
o Utilize in-depth product knowledge to educate clients and recommend suitable travel options.
6. Collaboration and Teamwork:
o Work closely with other members of the sales team and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
o Share insights and feedback with the marketing team to help refine lead-generation strategies.
o Participate in regular sales meetings and contribute to the overall sales strategy.
Requirements:
Experience: A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the travel industry.
Knowledge of Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and visa processing is a significant advantage.
Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in lead generation, follow-up, and sales conversion.
Customer-Centric: Strong customer service skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a persuasive and consultative approach.
Product Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of travel destinations, products, and services.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
Self-motivated: Highly driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to new situations, challenges, and technologies. MUST be able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Lead Conversion Rate: Percentage of leads converted into sales.
Revenue Growth: Achieving or exceeding sales revenue targets.
Customer Satisfaction: Positive feedback and high customer retention rates.
Upsell/Cross-Sell Success: Additional revenue is generated through upselling and cross-selling.
