Telecom Pre-Scale Engineer

Job Summary:
The Pre-Scale Engineer will play a crucial role in transitioning products or systems from the development phase to large-scale production. The individual will work closely with the engineering, operations, and product teams to ensure that designs and processes are optimized for scalability, reliability, and efficiency. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Optimization:
Review and refine product designs to ensure they are suitable for large-scale manufacturing or deployment.
Collaborate with design engineers to identify potential scalability issues and propose solutions.

Process Development:
Develop and implement processes that can be scaled efficiently without compromising quality or performance.
Work closely with manufacturing teams to design workflows and production lines that support scalability.

Prototyping and Testing:
Oversee the transition from prototype to production, ensuring that the process is smooth and that all technical requirements are met.
Conduct tests and simulations to predict how products or systems will perform at scale.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams to align product designs and processes with production capabilities.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure they can meet scaling requirements.

Documentation and Standards:
Create detailed documentation of processes, design changes, and scaling plans.
Ensure that all scaling activities comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for improvement in current processes and workflows.
Implement best practices to enhance scalability, reduce costs, and improve product quality.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-tech industry.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and scaling principles.
Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.

Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of telecommunication systems and equipment.
Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.
Experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
