QA/QC Specialist (Digital Solutions)

Job Overview:
This role will be responsible for reviewing, validating, and ensuring the quality of both in-house development initiatives and external vendor deliverables. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development processes, quality management, and compliance with industry standards.
The QA/QC Specialist will collaborate closely with the Digital Execution team to ensure that the solutions developed meet both functional and non-functional requirements and align with overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance (In-house Projects):
o Review and assess in-house development work for compliance with project requirements, functionality, and quality.
o Define and implement QA processes, ensuring that they align with the agile development cycle.
o Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
o Identify bugs, performance issues, and other gaps and ensure timely resolution in collaboration with the development team.
o Develop and execute test plans and automated test scripts.
2. Quality Control (External Vendor Deliverables):
o Assess the quality of deliverables from external partners/vendors to ensure they meet agreed-upon standards.
o Perform functional, performance, and security testing on third-party solutions.
o Create and maintain a clear set of quality metrics and KPIs to track vendor performance.
o Provide feedback and recommendations for improving external vendor solutions based on QC reviews.
o Take ownership of accountability for all external deliverables.
3. Collaboration & Communication:
o Work closely with project managers, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure that quality requirements are clear from the start of each project.
o Provide regular status reports on the quality of in-house and vendor projects.
o Ensure proper documentation of all test cases, issues identified, and their resolution.
4. Process Improvement:
o Continuously improve QA/QC frameworks, tools, and processes to meet evolving project demands.
o Proactively seek opportunities for automation in testing procedures.
5. Compliance & Risk Management:
o Ensure that all digital solutions meet industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, Nigeria Data Protection Act).
o Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with both in-house and external development initiatives.

Preferred Skills:
• Experience in AI/ML-based solutions testing is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks relevant to the industry (e.g., GDPR, Nigeria Data Protection Act).
• Familiarity with cross-functional integration testing across platforms (mobile, web, and APIs).
