Job Title: IT Specialist
Reports to: ISN Manager

Job Summary:
The IT Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems and infrastructure within a fast-paced media and creative firm. This includes managing hardware, software, network systems, and providing technical support to creative teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the unique technology needs within the media industry, including multimedia production, digital asset management, and data security.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and maintain all IT systems, including servers, networks, storage, and workstations.
2. Provide technical support for media production software such as video editing suites, graphic design tools, and content management systems.
3. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for the creative team, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing projects.
4. Oversee the integration and maintenance of digital asset management (DAM) systems and ensure proper storage of multimedia files.
5. Ensure network security by implementing and managing firewalls, antivirus solutions, and encryption protocols.
6. Monitor and manage cloud-based systems, ensuring optimal performance and storage utilization.
7. Collaborate with creative and production teams to ensure smooth IT operations during live productions, events, or broadcasting.
8. Conduct regular maintenance of all IT equipment, ensuring that hardware such as servers, computers, and audiovisual equipment is up-to-date and functioning.
9. Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and installations for new software and hardware.
10. Manage user accounts, access permissions, and IT onboarding for new team members.
11. Ensure regular backups of all critical systems and media files and establish a disaster recovery plan.
12. Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and tools in the media and creative industries.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an IT Specialist, preferably within the media or creative industries.
3. Proficiency in managing both Mac and Windows-based environments.
4. Hands-on experience with multimedia production software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
5. Strong understanding of network management, cloud systems, and cybersecurity protocols.
6. Familiarity with digital asset management (DAM) systems and media file formats.
7. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
8. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
