Job Description
Jenniez School of African Interior Design and Jenniez Designs are seeking a highly creative and results-driven Digital Marketer, Content Creator, and Social Media Manager. This individual will lead digital marketing initiatives, create compelling content, and manage the brand’s social media presence. The role will support both the school and the interior design company by promoting academic programs, design services, and engaging with the target audience through various online platforms.
This is a full-time position focused on increasing brand awareness, driving engagement, generating leads, and enhancing the online presence of Jenniez School of African Interior Design and Jenniez Designs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Marketing Strategy
Develop and implement a comprehensive digital marketing strategy for Jenniez School of African Interior Design and Jenniez Designs.
Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns including email marketing, SEO/SEM, PPC, and online advertising to drive traffic and generate leads.
Analyze performance data (Google Analytics, social media insights, etc.) and provide actionable insights to optimize digital marketing efforts.
Collaborate with the Marketing and Sales Manager to align digital marketing efforts with overall business goals.
2. Content Creation
Create high-quality, original content for digital platforms, including blog posts, infographics, videos, podcasts, newsletters, and promotional materials.
Develop and execute content strategies that showcase the school’s programs and Jenniez Designs’ portfolio of projects.
Collaborate with the interior design team, instructors, and students to produce case studies, project highlights, and educational content related to interior design trends.
Ensure all content is SEO-optimized, engaging, and aligned with the brand's tone and voice.
3. Social Media Management
Manage daily social media activities for Jenniez School of African Interior Design and Jenniez Designs across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok.
Create and schedule posts, manage social media calendars, and respond to comments/messages in a timely manner.
Develop and execute social media campaigns that promote the school’s courses, design projects, events (like the Blueprint Conference and Design and Wellness Retreat), and partnerships.
Monitor social media trends and apply new techniques to improve engagement and follower growth.
4. Email Marketing & Lead Generation
Design and execute email marketing campaigns targeting prospective students, design clients, and stakeholders.
Develop email automation funnels to nurture leads and drive conversions for course enrollments and design service inquiries.
Monitor open rates, click-through rates, and other KPIs to continually improve email marketing performance.
5. Brand Management & Community Engagement
Act as the brand ambassador, ensuring consistency in visual identity, messaging, and voice across all digital platforms.
Engage with the online community, responding to inquiries and feedback, and fostering a positive brand experience.
Collaborate with students, alumni, and industry professionals to generate user-generated content and testimonials that enhance the school’s credibility and the design firm’s reputation.
6. Graphic Design and Video Editing
Design visually appealing graphics for social media, website, and other digital platforms.
Edit and produce video content for YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and promotional use, showcasing design projects, school events, and educational content.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Increase in Social Media Engagement: Track growth in likes, shares, comments, and followers across all platforms.
Website Traffic & Conversion: Monitor website visits and improve conversion rates for program sign-ups and design project inquiries.
Lead Generation: Generate quality leads for both the school and design projects via digital campaigns and content.
Content Engagement: Measure content effectiveness based on shares, likes, comments, and reach.
SEO Performance: Improvement in search engine rankings for relevant keywords.
Email Marketing Performance: Monitor open rates, click-through rates, and conversion from email campaigns.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field.
3+ years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, and content creation.
Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok) and tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, or Later.
Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or Canva.
Video editing skills using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Capcut or equivalent.
Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Facebook Ads.
Experience with email marketing platforms like MailChimp or Constant Contact.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content tailored to different audiences.
Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to optimize marketing campaigns.
Preferred Skills
Experience in the interior design or education industry.
Knowledge of web design and content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
Experience in event promotion for conferences, workshops, or retreats.
Work Environment
This role is full time at the Jenniez School of African Interior Design and Jenniez Designs’ headquarters. Occasional on-site work may be required during school events, conferences, or retreats.
