Job Description

The Inventory Assistant is responsible for managing, writing and overseeing the company’s shipments records, ensuring accuracy of shipment details, and optimizing shipment processes. This role involves conducting regular audits, coordinating with warehouse and operations teams, and implementing inventory systems to minimize losses and enhance efficiency and speed.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory turnover rates and report on trends.

2. Data Analysis:
Analyze inventory reports to identify discrepancies and trends.
Prepare and present inventory performance reports to management.

3. Ordering and Procurement:
Coordinate with suppliers for timely restocking of inventory.
Assist in forecasting inventory needs based on sales trends and seasonal demands.

4. Process Improvement:
Implement and maintain inventory control systems and procedures.
Recommend improvements to inventory management practices.

5. Collaboration:
Work closely with logistics teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.

6. Compliance:
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations related to inventory management.
Maintain safety and quality standards for stored items.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven experience in inventory management or a related role.

Ability to write fast and have a good hand writing.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Work Environment: This position require working with the warehouse team and involve occasional lifting and moving of inventory.
