Medical Laboratory Scientist

1. Perform routine and complex laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and blood bank.
2. Analyze specimens, interpret results, and ensure accuracy of test outcomes.
3. Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment, troubleshooting issues as needed.
4. Adhere to quality control and quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
5. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to discuss test results and assist in patient care decisions.
6. Maintain accurate records of test procedures, results, and patient information.
7. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in laboratory technology and healthcare.
8. Ensure a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, following all safety and infection control protocols.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science
Valid practicing license
At least 3 years of experience working in a clinical or hospital laboratory setting
