Head of Operations

Job Summary:

Our client is looking for a Head of Operations who will oversee the day-to-day operational functions of its organization, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and excellence in execution across all departments. This role will focus on optimizing operational processes, managing key resources, and leading cross-functional teams to meet strategic objectives. Experience within the FMCG pace and finance is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives to ensure growth and sustainability.
2. Streamline and optimize operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity across all departments.
3. Lead and manage the operations team, ensuring clear communication, strong collaboration, and performance excellence at all levels.
4. Oversee the allocation of resources (financial, human, and material) to ensure optimal use and efficiency across operations.
5. Manage operational budgets, control costs, and ensure financial efficiency in line with organizational goals.
6. Ensure all operations comply with legal, regulatory, and company standards while identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
7. Establish KPIs and performance metrics to monitor operational efficiency, and report on progress to senior management.
8. Lead cross-functional projects that enhance operational efficiency, product delivery, and customer satisfaction.
9. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and key stakeholders to support smooth operational workflows.
10. Oversee the implementation and integration of technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and scalability.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
2. Strong knowledge of operational best practices, process improvement, and project management..
3. Familiarity with all business functions including HR, finance, supply chain, and IT.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
5. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational excellence
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiating, and decision-making skills.
7. Experience in FMCG is preferred.
8. A BSc degree from a reputable university.
