Job Description

The Baking Auditor is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the bakery's production, financial, and operational processes comply with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices. This role involves auditing the production cycle, verifying ingredient use, assessing product quality, and examining the financial records related to production. The goal is to enhance the efficiency of the bakery while ensuring accuracy and transparency in all activities.

Key Responsibilities:
Production Process Audits:

Conduct audits of the entire baking process, from raw materials to finished products.
Ensure that all baking procedures comply with the company’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) and food safety standards.
Monitor batch records and production schedules to ensure accuracy and consistency in production outputs.
Ingredient and Inventory Audits:

Audit the usage of raw materials and ingredients to prevent wastage or discrepancies.
Track and verify the stock levels of ingredients in the inventory to ensure they match production needs.
Audit the purchasing and receiving processes to detect discrepancies in quantities, quality, or supplier practices.
Financial Audits:

Review all financial transactions related to the bakery, such as purchases, production costs, and sales.
Conduct detailed audits of production-related expenditures to ensure they are within budget and properly documented.
Prepare regular audit reports highlighting any financial irregularities or discrepancies found during audits.
Quality Assurance:

Inspect and verify the quality of baked products to ensure they meet company standards.
Audit product testing records to ensure that products are safe and consistent in terms of taste, texture, and appearance.
Verify that hygiene and sanitation practices are strictly adhered to in the bakery.
Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure that all bakery operations comply with relevant food safety regulations, local laws, and industry standards.
Review and verify all production-related documentation, such as ingredient usage logs, oven temperature records, and employee work logs.
Maintain accurate records of audits conducted, observations, and recommendations.
Internal Control Audits:

Examine the internal control systems in place at the bakery to identify any weaknesses or areas of improvement.
Recommend improvements to processes and controls to reduce risks and enhance efficiency.
Ensure that procedures related to handling company property and resources are being followed by all staff.
Reporting:

Prepare and present audit reports to the management, highlighting findings, observations, and recommendations.
Conduct follow-up audits to ensure that corrective actions have been implemented and are effective.
Training and Development:

Assist in training production staff on proper record-keeping, compliance, and process improvement.
Provide guidance on how to maintain production quality and prevent errors or discrepancies in daily operations.
