Position: Business Development & Partnership Manager

Job Description (Summary):
The Business Development & Partnership Manager will be responsible for identifying, securing, and managing partnerships that align with the organization’s goals. This includes preparing compelling pitch decks, creating funnels for grant opportunities, and fostering collaborations to maximize impact. A key part of this role is leveraging an extensive network to source funding and expand the organization’s reach.
Business Development & Partnerships:
• Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to identify, evaluate, and secure high-value partnerships that align with organizational objectives.
• Build and maintain a robust network of strategic partners, stakeholders, and collaborators to drive long-term growth.
• Research and leverage market trends to identify partnership opportunities across various sectors and industries.
• Negotiate partnership agreements and contracts to maximize mutual benefits while ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
Funding and Grant Acquisition:
• Proactively identify and create funnels for potential grants, funding opportunities, and sponsorships from local and international sources.
• Research, draft, and submit detailed grant proposals, ensuring they align with the organization’s mission and funding requirements.
• Cultivate relationships with donors, foundations, and funding institutions to establish a sustainable funding pipeline.
• Monitor funding cycles, deadlines, and reporting requirements to ensure timely submission of deliverables.
Communication & Presentation:
• Prepare and deliver persuasive pitch decks, presentations, and communication materials tailored for a wide range of stakeholders, including partners, investors, and donors.
• Act as the organization’s representative in meetings, conferences, and events to promote its mission and initiatives.
• Develop and maintain marketing and communication strategies to enhance the organization’s reputation and visibility.
Strategy Implementation & Management:
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve partnership management and maximize impact.
• Design and implement processes for effective tracking, measurement, and reporting of partnership outcomes and deliverables.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the organization’s visibility and credibility through collaborative efforts and strategic initiatives.
• Conduct regular reviews of partnership and funding strategies to identify areas for improvement and implement actionable changes.
Leadership & Capacity Building:
• Mentor and guide team members involved in partnership development and funding activities to build internal capacity.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the team and organization at large.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, funding opportunities, and best practices to ensure the organization remains competitive and forward-thinking.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related fields.
• 4-8 years of proven experience in partnerships, business development, marketing, or grant acquisition.
• Strong network in relevant industries and sectors.
• Proven track record in sourcing funding, especially grants and building strategic partnerships.
• Proficiency in preparing pitch decks and presenting to diverse audiences.
Salary:
600.000,00 NGN Monthly
