Job Description

Reporting to Program Manager, this role has the responsibility to ensure Program Compliance, Create Training Programs, Develop and Improve Program Policy, Implement and Monitor implementation, maintain standards by verifying test results and audits comply with regulations and requirements, determines the optimal operating procedures and investigates wrong practices.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
 Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, such as: Social science, Anthropology, Social work, international development, Gender and youth studies, international relations, and international law
 Must be computer literate: Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint
 3-4 years’ experience as a gender advocate role.
Desirable
 Sound awareness of emerging issues within and outside the program and adapt to the changing operating environment.
 Ability to communicate above average; explain issues to staff in a clear and straightforward manner
 Ability to write good report, precise and concise reports for documentation
 Effective people supervision and meeting set standards in terms of output
 Strong attention to details
 Ability to work with minimal supervision
 Program implementation: Ensuring that programs are implemented and monitored to address protection needs
 Policy guidance: Providing policy guidance and operational support on protection issues
 Risk identification and mitigation: Identifying and mitigating risks to ensure the safety of personnel, partners, and beneficiaries
 Training: Developing and delivering training on gender analyses, gender-responsive programming, and policies
 Safeguarding reviews: Developing mechanisms for periodic gender and safeguarding reviews and adaptations
 Fundraising
 Identifying gender-related funding opportunities and participating in donor meetings
 Data collection and analysis
 Facilitating data collection and analysis, and ensuring the quality of data and information
 Reporting
 Ensuring that reporting processes are streamlined
 Advocacy
 Advocating for the rights of vulnerable people through contact with local authorities, government officials, and other relevant actors
