Job Description
Position Title: Store Manager
Location: Kogi
Industry: Manufacturing
Salary: Open to negotiation
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods in the store.
Maintain optimal stock levels to avoid overstocking or shortages.
Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the store, adhering to company policies and standards.
Monitor and manage store facilities, ensuring they are well-maintained and secure.
Implement and enforce health and safety protocols.
Lead, train, and supervise store staff to ensure efficient performance.
Create staff schedules and manage leave requests to maintain coverage.
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals and performance expectations.
Address and resolve customer inquiries or complaints in a timely manner.
Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and store presentation.
Sales and Profitability:
Develop strategies to achieve sales targets and increase profitability.
Analyze sales data and identify trends to improve store performance.
Maintain accurate records of transactions, deliveries, and stock movement.
Prepare and submit regular reports on store operations to management.
Liaise with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Negotiate favorable terms and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in store management or inventory control.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of the local market in Kogi is an added advantage.
