Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Administrator to manage and maintain our Azure-based cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the seamless operation of cloud systems, implement security best practices, optimize resources, and support business applications. This role demands expertise in Azure services, strong troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to system improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
Azure Cloud Administration:
Deploy, configure, and manage Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, virtual networks, and containers.
Monitor and optimize Azure environments to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
Implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
System Monitoring & Maintenance:
Use Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and other tools to track system health and performance.
Identify and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner.
Perform regular maintenance and patching to keep systems up to date.
Security & Compliance:
Implement Azure security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), network security groups, and encryption.
Conduct regular security assessments and respond to potential threats.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
Collaboration & Support:
Work closely with development, operations, and business teams to support application deployment and operations.
Provide technical support for Azure-related issues, including root cause analysis and resolution.
Assist with planning and implementing Azure-based projects and migrations.
Automation & Optimization:
Develop and manage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) scripts using tools like ARM Templates, Terraform, or Azure CLI.
Automate repetitive tasks and workflows to increase efficiency.
Continuously review and optimize resource utilization to manage costs effectively.
Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience working as a Cloud Administrator, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
Strong knowledge of Azure services, including Azure VMs, Storage, Networking, and Azure Active Directory (AAD).
Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
Familiarity with backup solutions like Azure Backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Understanding of network concepts such as DNS, VPNs, and firewalls.
Experience with IaC tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Ansible.
Preferred Skills:
Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104: Azure Administrator Associate, AZ-305: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
Knowledge of DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Experience with cost management and resource optimization in Azure.
