Automation Engineer (FMCG)

As an Automation Engineer, you will be a key player in optimizing process automation and minimizing losses caused by process malfunctions at our client’s state-of-the-art food production plant. This role involves providing corrective maintenance, troubleshooting support, and transferring knowledge to enhance the efficiency and reliability of automation systems, contributing to the success of a leading FMCG company in the food industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Optimize and support process automation within the plant to reduce losses caused by process malfunctions.
Provide corrective maintenance support for automation and process control, including troubleshooting, problem-solving, and knowledge transfer.
Manage calibration activities, software modifications, backups, parameter registration, and version control to ensure accurate and reliable automation systems.
Monitor and assess the performance of shift technicians and electrical technicians in resolving automation-related issues.
Train technicians and operators on automation systems, procedures, and best practices.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of all automation-related information, including system settings, sensitivities, and parameters.
Contribute to continuous improvement by providing innovative solutions to optimize automation processes.

Requirements
A First Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Process Control and Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
Membership with NSE and COREN certification is required.
At least 10 years of post-NYSC, hands-on experience in a well-structured FMCG (food production) company, with specific expertise in Krones Machines.
Willingness to work in shift-based operations.
