Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
o Record daily financial transactions and ensure proper documentation.
o Perform regular bank, ledger, and petty cash reconciliations.
o Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
o Support accounts payable and receivable processes.
o Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and follow-up on payments.
o Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
o Provide data and reports as required by the Head of Finance.
o Track department budgets and monitor expenditures against allocated funds.
o Assist in preparing budget forecasts and financial planning activities.
o Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
o Assist with tax filings, audits, and other regulatory requirements.
o Provide support during audits by organizing and submitting required documents.
o Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
o Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
o Progress towards a professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
o Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
o Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
o Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
