Job Title: HSE Officer
Location: Ota (Ogun State)
Salary: 150k
Job Description:
The HSE Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety, health, and environmental compliance within the organization. The key duties and responsibilities include:
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Disbursement:
o Coordinate the purchase and distribution of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to relevant workers.
o Maintain accurate records of all disbursements.
2. Contractor Monitoring:
o Monitor contractors' activities within the facility to ensure compliance with safety standards.
o Ensure that the number of contractors, their task location, task description, task duration, and estimated completion time are accurately recorded.
3. Permit-to-Work System:
o Issue Permit-to-Work for contractors carrying out tasks within the facility.
o Ensure that permits are renewed or re-validated daily, as necessary.
o Monitor contractor activities to ensure no work is being carried out without a valid permit.
4. Audit Support:
o Support the HSE Manager during audits.
o In some cases, lead or coordinate audit teams and processes.
o Submit results and findings to the HSE Manager after the audit.
5. Awareness Creation:
o Disseminate HSE information to all workers.
o Create awareness of new or updated HSE programs, policies, and procedures.
6. Emergency Preparedness:
o Assist the HSE Manager in developing and implementing emergency preparedness programs.
o Ensure the effective execution of emergency plans.
7. Fire Prevention:
o Carry out fire prevention measures as part of the company’s emergency preparedness plan.
8. Incident Investigation:
o Investigate near misses, first aid cases, illnesses, accidents, and dangerous occurrences.
o Prepare a first-level report on such events for further action.
Other Requirements:
• HND/BSC in a related field.
• Expr: FMCG (1-4 Years) Manufacturing Sector (ISPON, HSE1,2,3, NEBOSH added advantage)
Salary:
150.000,00 NGN Monthly
