Job Description
The Account Officer is responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Prepare and maintain financial records and reports.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable activities.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Provide financial analysis and support to management as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial objectives are met.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Familiarity with Sage 50 and QuickBooks is an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
