Job Description

We are recruiting for the role of an IT Support Officer on behalf of our client, a leading logistics and transportation management company located in Igbesa/Agbara axis of Ogun State.

Principal Functions:
This role will function in supporting information technology (IT) operations (systems and users) which include network management, computer systems and software installations, connectivity maintenance and database administration. The IT support officer may also provide technical support to the organization's employees and train non-technical workers on the business's information systems.

Job Type: Full Time.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the LAN/WLAN network making sure users can connect and work seamlessly.
• Providing functional and technical support daily to employees out on the field and administrative office (this may be in person or over the phone).
• Setting a tentative backup and recovery plan for each system while ensuring each user’s PC is fully secured with an update anti-virus software.
• Installation of operating systems and configuration of email accounts as well as management of user email accounts and password management.
• Scheduling system maintenance for all Pc’s within the administrative block.
• Making sure all IT peripherals and devices are fully configured and are all in good working condition (e.g servers, routers, switches, scanners, printers, cables, etc).
• Designing IT maintenance procedures and putting them into operation.
• Coordinate between the company and external vendors and contractors about IT-related infrastructure and development.
• Resolving software and hardware issues as well as repairs and maintaining proper documentation of all IT devices within the organization.
• Keeping updates of network downtimes and handling of all IT related issues within the organization in a timely manner.
• Working together with ISP support engineers whenever there is downtime for timely response.
• Assess IT infrastructure on a regular basis to ensure it continues to meet necessary demands.
• Prepare and submit weekly report of IT operations to management.
• Keeping up to date with new technology and training staff members on usage of hardware and software where applicable.
• Regularly maintain an inventory of all IT devices and accessories in the organization.
• Handling of purchase of IT devices needed once it’s been approved.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by management.

Qualification and Experience Needed:
• Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or its equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with hardware and software installation and maintenance.
• Extensive working knowledge of PCs, network hardware, operating systems and software.

Preferably, only candidates residing within the Igbesa/Agbara axis or willing to relocate immediately should apply.
