We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth, secure institutional buyers, and position our client at the forefront of the development and government sectors. You're experienced in international development, with a strong network of NGOs, development agencies, and government bodies.
You're a skilled sales and business development professional, capable of securing institutional buyers and closing high-value contracts.
You're a relationship builder, able to develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders.
You're knowledgeable about grant applications, procurement processes, and funding opportunities in the development and humanitarian aid sectors.
You're an expert in proposal writing, sales presentations, and contract negotiations, ensuring our products reach the right buyers.
You're commercially driven, with a track record of revenue generation, market intelligence, and strategic growth in FMCG, food production, or related sectors.
Your responsibilities…

You will develop and execute a customer acquisition strategy, identifying and engaging institutional buyers.
You will secure large-scale contracts, pre-orders, and funding from NGOs, government feeding programs, and humanitarian aid organizations.
You will draft compelling proposals, funding applications, and sales contracts to drive business growth.
You will lead negotiations, ensuring optimal terms in government and institutional sales agreements.
You will conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities and funding sources.
You will build and manage long-term relationships with government agencies, international development partners, and procurement officers.
You will collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and product positioning strategies.
You will track performance metrics, ensuring sales targets, funding goals, and strategic objectives are met.
To be considered, you should have…

Minimum of 5 years Proven experience in business development, sales, or partnerships within international development, FMCG, food production, or related sectors.
A strong network and experience engaging with NGOs, development agencies, and government procurement programs.
A successful track record in securing contracts, institutional sales, and funding/grant applications.
Exceptional proposal writing, sales pitching, and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of procurement processes, humanitarian aid supply chains, and large-scale food distribution.
Excellent networking ability, with a strategic mindset and strong communication skills.
