Job Description
The IT Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of the bank’s IT systems and applications. This role involves testing software, identifying defects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and improving the overall quality of IT solutions to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and implement quality assurance (QA) frameworks, policies, and best practices for IT systems.
• Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing for software applications and banking platforms.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution by the development team.
• Ensure compliance with IT security, regulatory, and banking industry standards.
• Work closely with developers, system administrators, and business teams to enhance system reliability.
• Automate testing processes using modern tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Monitor IT system performance and suggest improvements to enhance user experience.
• Provide training on quality assurance best practices to IT teams.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Membership in relevant professional bodies such as the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) is an advantage.
Certifications in software quality assurance and testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA, ITIL) are preferred
Experience: 3+ years of experience in IT quality assurance, software testing, or system auditing, preferably within the banking sector.
KNOWLEDGE
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail).
• Experience with automation testing and performance monitoring tools.
Knowledge of cybersecurity and regulatory compliance in banking IT systems.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
