Job Description
We are looking for fashion designers – a male clothing designer and a female clothing designer – to collaborate with our development team in refining garment construction techniques, customization features, and pattern adaptability for various body sizes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop standardized cutting & sewing techniques adaptable to multiple body sizes.
Provide expertise in garment elements (buttons, zippers, darts, pleats, etc.) for seamless integration.
Advise on appropriate seam allowances for the different fabric types.
Contribute knowledge on sleeves, necklines, and garment style variations to enhance design options.
Collaborate with the development team to ensure technical accuracy in digital garment construction processes
Qualifications & Skills:
2+ years of experience in patternmaking, textile knowledge and garment construction.
Skilled in either male clothing or female clothing. Skilled in both is a plus.
Hands-on experience with garment closures, stitching techniques, and structural details.
Deep understanding of fabric properties and seam allowances.
Broad knowledge of sleeve variations, necklines, and customizable garment styles.
Strong problem solving skills and ability to work in a tech-integrated environment.
Skilled in the creation of tech packs is not required but a plus.
Work Conditions & Benefits:
Flexible work schedule (Remote).
A fashion designer skilled in both male & female clothing will be offered the role of Chief Fashion Officer, a 7% equity share and profit sharing as the company scales and generates revenue.
For fashion designers skilled in either male or female clothing, a 2.5% equity share and profit share will be offered to each of them as the company scales and generates revenue.
Flexibility to continue your own fashion design businesses (specific conditions apply).
Nigerian residents and non-Nigerian residents may apply for these roles.
Working hours aren’t standard as certain tasks will be required of you to complete within a certain period.
