ICT Project Engineer

• Support various stakeholders in the understanding and use of the network ICT systems.
• Evaluate potential future ICT and network solutions.
• Deliver documentation in support of planning, design, and implementation.
• Provide 3rd-line support as needed for the maintenance of the ICT and its associated hardware/software.
• Undertake the deploying of various hardware and operating systems, configuring the system, and producing relevant documentation on the process.
• Conduct network assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend and implement necessary security measures.
• Manage network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
• Manage any network service disruptions and or connectivity issues, within agreed service level agreements, identifying and resolving any issues.
• Assist and advise the customer in the management and monitoring of the security of systems, including data, and controlling of access rights.
• Capture and analyze customer requirements, providing detailed conclusions and recommendations.
• Research, design, development, and testing of prospective products and software, as allocated by the line manager.
• Take the lead and drive to completion, of projects and tasks assigned by the Team Leader.
• Become or be recognized as a specialist in at least one technical subject matter area.

Requirement
• Experience in telecommunication, security solutions, and networking.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the industry
• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline.
• Proven experience as an ICT Networks Engineer or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, VLANS, VPN, Firewalls, and other networking technologies.
• Must have experience of designing, installing, and managing an on-premise network infrastructure including layer 2 and 3 switching and routing.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with network management tools and network troubleshooting utilities.
