Kitchen Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, cleaning, and kitchen organization. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be physically fit, and be able to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with food preparation, including washing and chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling dishes
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including washing dishes, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning equipment
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed
- Assist with plating and garnishing dishes
- Follow safety protocols and procedures
- Meet productivity and quality standards
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service

Requirements:

- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Basic math skills and ability to operate kitchen equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- High school diploma or equivalent

Working Conditions:

- Work in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat, noise, and humidity
- Stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
- Work in a team environment with other kitchen staff
