Job Description

The roles and responsibilities of a driver include:
routine checks and report when/where necessary.
• Check brakes, oil, tyres and electrical systems daily
* Drive defensively and handle hazardous road conditions
* Change tyres when necessary, clean and maintain vehicles always
* Drive vehicles to their destination
* Collect payments and receipts for fuel, change of tyre etc
* Maintain/completes a journey management logbook with details of trips, including rest breaks
on long trips.
• Responsible for: care, cleanliness, fuelling etc of pool car assigned to them.
• Service, repairs and all matter relating to car designated must be reported immediately.
• Liaises with Client relations officer to ensure that vehicle documents are up to date and ensures documents are in the car so designated.
• Trustworthy and reliable
• Report vehicles maintenance needs promptly
• Plans the shortest route and drive the vehicles to the destination
• Gain thorough knowledge of city and suburban Streets
• Safe driving records
• Drivers may wear uniform else must appear neat and tidy at all times
• Reports directly to Clients Relations Officer, HR/Admin-Manager
Transporting clients and/or packages to and from destinations
Arriving at destinations on schedule
Fulfilling administrative needs, like office pickups
Researching and planning for traffic, construction and weather delays
Using navigation applications to determine the best route
Delivering important documents and parcels to required destinations
Ensuring that all deliveries have been signed and delivered to the correct recipient
Keeping the vehicle clean and maintained at all times
Performing preventative and regular maintenance on the vehicle
Safely transporting company staff as well as various products and materials to and from specified locations in a timely manner
Assisting with the loading and offloading of staff luggage, products, and materials
Adjusting travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction
Listening to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions
Must be very familiar with Lagos route and terrain
Salary:
