Job Description

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial statement preparation, reconciliation, and analysis.
Review and approve journal entries, adjustments, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial performance metrics to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to senior management to support business decisions and initiatives.
Mentor, coach, and develop accounting staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in financial management processes.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Proven experience as a Chief Accountant or similar role, with a minimum of [X] years of experience in accounting and financial management.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
