Surveying Engineer

The Surveying Engineer is responsible for conducting precise land surveys, producing geospatial data, and ensuring accurate site mapping for geotechnical and mineral exploration projects.
Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct land and geotechnical site surveys using modern surveying equipment (Survey RTK, GPS, UAV drones, etc.).
• Prepare topographic maps, construction layout plans, and digital terrain models (DTMs).
• Perform geodetic and hydrographic surveys for mineral exploration and geotechnical investigations.
• Ensure accuracy in survey data and prepare technical documentation in compliance to national and international standards.
• Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments.
• Collaborate with geologists, geotechnical engineers and drilling teams to analyze survey data for project planning.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian land surveying regulations and safety standards.
• Determine property boundaries and ensure legal compliance.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in land and geotechnical surveying.
• Proficiency in survey software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and Surfer.
• Ability to work in remote locations and under challenging conditions.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret survey data.
• Ability to work independently and within teams.
• Good communication and report-writing skills
• Membership in a recognized professional body (e.g., Nigerian Institution of Surveyors) is an advantage.
