Field Installation Technician CCTV and Networking

Key Responsibilities:
• Install and configure IP CCTV cameras, network video recorders (NVRs), and storage systems.
• Run, terminate, label, and test network cables (Cat6, Cat6A, Fiber Optic) and ensure proper connectivity.
• Mount, align, and secure surveillance cameras, including PTZ, dome, and bullet types.
• Install and connect network switches, routers, wireless access points, and UPS systems.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and resolve installation or connectivity issues on-site.
• Configure IP addresses, camera streams, and video management software as directed.
• Perform post-installation testing and commissioning to confirm full system functionality.
• Document all installations, test results, and handover reports.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow safety and quality standards during installations.
• Communicate effectively with the project team and escalate any site issues that require higher-level attention.
• Provide training or handover support to clients when necessary.
Experience & Skills:
• 3–5 years of hands-on field experience in CCTV, networking, or ELV system installation.
• Proficient in running and terminating Cat6/Cat6A and fiber optic cables.
• Familiar with cable testing tools, crimping, and dressing patch panels.
• Able to use ladders, power tools, and safety gear safely and correctly.
• Knowledge of basic network configuration (IP, subnetting, DHCP).
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and floor layouts.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in commercial, residential, or industrial sites.
• Physically fit and able to work at heights or confined areas if necessary.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license is a plus.
