Job Description
In this role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of the end-to-end supply chain processes while leveraging your technical knowledge to integrate electrical engineering solutions, improve operational efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supply Chain Strategy & Optimization
Lead the end-to-end supply chain strategy, from procurement and manufacturing to distribution and logistics, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
Utilize your electrical engineering expertise to identify opportunities to integrate automation, robotics, and other technologies in the supply chain for improved efficiency.
Implement forecasting models, demand planning, and inventory management systems to ensure timely delivery of products and materials.
Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to develop and execute strategies for material sourcing, inventory management, and logistics.
2. Process Improvement & Automation
Leverage your technical knowledge in electrical systems and automation to streamline manufacturing processes, reduce downtime, and improve throughput.
Identify areas for process automation and technological advancements (such as robotics, IoT sensors, or machine learning) to enhance the manufacturing and distribution operations.
Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve operational workflows, reduce waste, and increase overall efficiency.
3. Integration of Electrical Engineering Systems
Work closely with the engineering and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems and technology into the supply chain process.
Optimize the use of electrical engineering tools and systems to monitor equipment performance and supply chain efficiency (e.g., predictive maintenance systems, IoT-based tracking).
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with engineering, production, procurement, and logistics teams to align supply chain goals with overall company objectives.
Foster strong relationships with external partners and vendors to maintain a steady supply of high-quality materials and products.
5. Data-Driven Decision Making & Reporting
Use data analytics tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, order fulfillment rates, and supplier performance.
Utilize your technical background to analyze supply chain data and generate insights to improve decision-making.
Develop dashboards and reports for senior management, providing visibility into operational performance and areas of improvement.
6. Cost Management & Risk Mitigation
Identify cost-saving opportunities across the supply chain, from procurement to logistics, while maintaining product quality and delivery standards.
Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks such as supply disruptions, material shortages, and equipment failures.
Manage supplier contracts and relationships to negotiate favorable terms and secure long-term agreements.
7. Team Leadership & Development
Lead and mentor a team of supply chain and operations professionals, providing technical guidance and support where needed.
Conduct training sessions on best practices, new technologies, and process improvements for team members.
Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture, ensuring that objectives are met and exceeded.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, ] or related field.
Proven experience (5+ years) in supply chain management, operations, or logistics, with a focus on electrical systems.
Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, automation systems, and integration of technology into operational processes.
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is highly preferred.
Previous experience in Oil and Gas, electrical, or technology-driven industry is a plus.
