Job Description

Position Summary:
The CCTV Monitoring Officer is responsible for the continuous monitoring of surveillance cameras, identifying and reporting any suspicious activities, security breaches, or incidents that may compromise the safety and security of the premises, assets, staff, and guests. This role is critical in providing real-time intelligence and supporting the overall security framework of Folixx Hospitality Limited.

Key Responsibilities:

Vigilant Surveillance:
Proactively monitor live CCTV feeds from multiple cameras simultaneously, maintaining a high level of alertness and concentration for extended periods.
Effectively identify and assess suspicious behavior, unauthorized access, potential threats, criminal activity, or any deviations from established security protocols.
Utilize CCTV system features (pan, tilt, zoom, presets) to effectively track incidents and gather detailed visual information.
Incident Detection & Reporting:
Detect and promptly report all security incidents, emergencies, unusual occurrences, or suspicious activities to the Security Manager or relevant personnel according to established procedures.
Provide clear, concise, and accurate verbal and written reports of all observations and incidents, including date, time, location, and detailed description of events.
Initiate emergency response procedures as required and coordinate with on-site security personnel, law enforcement, or emergency services during critical incidents.
Documentation & Evidence Management:
Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all significant events, alerts, and actions taken during shifts.
Properly record, store, retrieve, and archive CCTV footage in accordance with company policies and legal requirements, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Assist in reviewing recorded footage for investigations, gathering evidence, and preparing footage for handover to relevant authorities (e.g., police) when necessary.
System Operation & Maintenance:
Operate and maintain the CCTV surveillance system, including monitors, recording devices, and software applications.
Conduct routine checks of all CCTV equipment to ensure proper functioning and immediately report any faults, malfunctions, or technical issues to the appropriate IT or maintenance personnel.
Possess a basic understanding of network infrastructure relevant to CCTV systems.
Compliance & Confidentiality:
Adhere strictly to all company security policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ethical guidelines.
Ensure compliance with all relevant data protection and privacy laws related to CCTV operation and footage handling.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information and surveillance activities.
Collaboration:
Maintain effective communication with security guards, managers, and other departments to facilitate a coordinated security response.
Collaborate with investigators and law enforcement agencies by providing requested footage and information, following authorized protocols.
Salary:
₦200,000.00 Monthly
