Job Description
The Restaurant Supervisor oversees daily operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth and efficient service, maintains high standards of food quality and customer service, supervises staff, and supports management in achieving financial and operational goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational Supervision
Supervise day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure smooth service flow.
Ensure all areas (dining, kitchen, reception) are clean, well-organized, and adequately staffed.
Monitor food preparation and presentation for quality and consistency.
Staff Management
Supervise, train, and motivate waiters, kitchen staff, and cleaners.
Delegate tasks efficiently and ensure timely completion.
Prepare daily shift rosters in consultation with management.
Customer Service
Ensure guests receive prompt and professional service.
Resolve customer complaints swiftly and effectively.
Monitor customer satisfaction and report feedback to management.
Inventory & Supplies
Monitor stock levels of food, beverages, and other supplies.
Assist in inventory management and daily requisitions.
Prevent wastage and ensure proper storage of items.
Cash & Sales Management
Assist in handling cash register operations when necessary.
Ensure sales records are accurately maintained.
Prepare daily sales and operations reports as required.
Health, Safety & Hygiene
Ensure staff comply with health and safety standards.
Conduct routine checks to maintain hygiene and sanitation.
Report maintenance issues to management for prompt resolution.
Team Coordination
Coordinate between kitchen and service teams for efficient order flow.
Assist in onboarding and orientation of new staff.
Organize pre-shift meetings to communicate daily goals and specials.
Support to Management
Assist Restaurant Manager with performance evaluations.
Suggest improvements in operations and service delivery.
Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to by staff.JOB SUMMARY:
