Field Sales Agent - Microfinance Bank (Commission-Based)
About the Role:
As a Field Sales Agent, you will be the face of our bank in the community, actively engaging with individuals and small business owners to promote our financial products. Your primary objective will be to drive new account acquisitions, fixed deposit sign-ups, and proof of funds applications. This is a commission-based role, offering significant earning potential directly tied to your sales success. There will be provided transport for conveyance for trade visits
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Acquisition: Proactively identify and approach potential customers in designated areas (markets, communities, businesses) to explain our products and services.
2. Onboarding new clients: Guide prospective clients through the account opening process, Educate & secure new fixed deposit investments
3. Proof of Funds Facilitation: Assist clients in understanding and applying for proof of funds services as needed.
4. Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, fostering trust and encouraging repeat business and referrals.
5. Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of all bank products, services, and policies to accurately answer customer queries.
6. Reporting: Accurately record every sales activities, customer interactions, and progress towards targets.
What We're Looking For:
1. Proven Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets, preferably in a field sales or direct sales environment.
2. Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to clearly and persuasively articulate product benefits to diverse audiences.
3. Strong Interpersonal Skills: A friendly, approachable, and trustworthy demeanor that builds rapport quickly.
4. Self-Motivated & Target-Oriented: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain a high level of productivity.
5. Resilience: Ability to handle rejections and maintain a positive attitude.
6. Basic Financial Literacy: Understanding of basic banking concepts (accounts, deposits, interest).
7. Minimum of [e.g., OND/HND/BSc] in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
8. Prior experience in microfinance, banking, or financial services sales is a significant advantage.
9. Ability to speak local languages relevant to the target communities is a plus.
