Job Summary:
The Quality Control Officer is responsible for ensuring all food products and operational procedures meet established quality and hygiene standards. This includes monitoring food preparation, cleanliness, safety compliance, and service consistency to maintain customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections of food preparation areas, storage, and service zones to ensure hygiene and quality standards are met.
Monitor food handling practices to ensure compliance with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, FSSAI, FDA).
Verify that ingredients and finished products meet quality specifications, including taste, texture, temperature, and presentation.
Monitor inventory quality, check expiration dates, and ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) is practiced.
Identify quality issues and recommend corrective actions to kitchen and service teams.
Ensure compliance with cleaning schedules, pest control protocols, and sanitation checklists.
Maintain records of quality checks, incidents, and corrective actions taken.
Train kitchen and service staff on hygiene practices, food safety procedures, and quality standards.
Assist in preparing for health inspections and ensure readiness at all times.
Collaborate with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure product quality from the source.
Report regularly to management with quality performance data and improvement plans.
