Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Loan and Credit Risk Officer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, and mitigating credit risks associated with loan applications and existing portfolios. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit analysis, lending procedures, and risk management in the banking or financial sector.
Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate and analyze creditworthiness of loan applicants using financial statements, credit reports, and risk tools.
• Conduct in-depth risk assessments to ensure credit exposure is aligned with internal policies.
• Approve or recommend credit decisions within assigned authority limits.
• Monitor loan performance and proactively identify early warning signs of potential default.
• Maintain up-to-date records of loan agreements and ensure compliance with regulatory and bank policies.
• Liaise with loan officers, relationship managers, and legal units to structure appropriate credit facilities.
• Prepare periodic credit risk reports for management and regulatory purposes.
• Assist in developing and enhancing credit risk models and frameworks.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum of 1 years of experience in loan analysis or credit risk management within a financial institution.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, loan documentation, and credit regulations.
• Proficient in MS Excel and financial analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
• High level of integrity and professional ethics.
Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of credit risk scoring models.
• Experience with core banking software systems.
