Job Description
CILT Nigeria is recruiting:

JOB DESCRIPTION
a) Recording and classifying revenue and expenses heads of the Institute’s financial activities
b) Preparation of Staff Payroll on a monthly basis
c) Raising of vouchers for expenditure items and issuing of official receipts to members for payment of subscription, Education and MPDP training Certificates and other required payments from members of the institute.
d) Preparation of office Imprest
e) Preparing month-end and year-end financial reports
f) Preparing of Bank Reconciliation statements and other reconciliation statements
g) Conduct follow-up on the institute’s vendors for immediate supplies of our requisitions
h) Conduct follow-up on the institute’s members for immediate response on Annual subscription payments and other necessary payments
i) Posting of journal entries in the Accounting Software

JOB RESPONSIBILIITIES
- Preparation of Monthly Financial Reports/Management Reports
- Posting of Journal Entries into Accounting Software
- Review of data captured in accounting software and correction of entries to ensure accuracy in reporting incomes and expenditures in line with policies and other relevant regulations.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations of the institute, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide insights into the institute's financial performance and trends.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and procedures in aspect of cost control, the institute’s financial activities and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Assist internal and external auditors with all the necessary information of the financial transactions and processes to identify discrepancies, irregularities or areas for improvement.
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare and document Monthly Payroll of employees.
- Preparing and recording of office Imprest

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Candidates should possess a B.Sc/HND in Accounting or Finance.
• 2 – 3 years work experience as an Account Officer or Accountant.
• Proficiency in accounting principles, accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong Attention to details and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently in terms of less-supervision and as part of a team.
