Role Summary
Alpha Global is hiring a skilled and experienced Backend Developer to build robust, scalable server-side applications for international clients. You’ll play a key role in designing and optimizing APIs, ensuring application performance, and deploying secure cloud-native systems. This position is ideal for backend engineers with 5+ years of experience in cloud environments, database design, and backend architecture.

Key Responsibilities
Mid-Level Backend Developer
Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs for web and mobile apps
Optimize SQL and NoSQL database queries and schema designs
Collaborate with frontend engineers, DevOps, and product teams
Write clean, testable code with automated test coverage
Deploy backend services to AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud environments
Monitor and troubleshoot application performance and production issues
Contribute to code reviews and documentation
Deliver backend specs and integration documentation for frontend teams
Senior Backend Developer
Architect backend systems for scalability and high availability
Lead the design of RESTful APIs and microservices
Guide infrastructure decisions and CI/CD strategies
Mentor junior engineers and foster backend best practices
Integrate message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka) into backend workflows
Implement robust security, caching, and error-handling logic
Conduct A/B testing and data-driven backend optimization
Champion clean architecture and automated deployment pipelines

Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of professional backend development experience
Strong portfolio or track record of scalable backend applications
Experience building APIs and integrating third-party services

Certifications (Preferred)
AWS Certified Developer – Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
Oracle Certified Professional – Java SE

Technical Skills
Programming Languages: Java, Python, Node.js, Go (any 2+)
Frameworks: Spring Boot, Express.js, Django, Flask
Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis
Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP
Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
Testing: JUnit, PyTest, Mocha
Version Control: Git

Good-to-Have Skills
Experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka
Knowledge of microservices architecture
Familiarity with GraphQL APIs
