Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for an energetic and customer-oriented Food Truck Driver (living within Ojo, Igondo, Akesun, Iba axis) who can also take on the role of Cashier/Sales Representative. The ideal candidate is within the ages of 20 - 30 years, and will have a passion for great food, delivering excellent customer service, and contributing to a positive team environment. You will be responsible for driving the food truck, serving delicious food, managing customer transactions, and promoting our menu to maximize sales.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Driver Responsibilities:
-Safely drive the food truck, ensuring it is driven in compliance with all road safety laws and regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck, ensuring it’s always stocked and ready for service.
- Plan and follow delivery routes, setting up at events or sales locations as scheduled.
- Ensure the food truck is properly maintained and report any issues or needed repairs.
Customer Service, Sales & Food Service Responsibilities:
- Take orders accurately, and process payments using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, handling feedback professionally, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Serve food and beverages according to safety and hygiene standards.
- Promote and upsell menu items and specials to boost sales and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, ensuring the food truck is always presentable and fully stocked.
- Conduct inventory checks and restocking supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with production kitchen to ensure efficient service and restocks during busy periods.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in food service, retail, or sales preferred.
- Ability to drive a diesel truck/bus and work in various weather conditions.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills and ability to use a POS system.
- Cleanliness and knowledge of good hygiene standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
